A weekend full of emotions and participation for “The valleys of myth and music”, the project of the Gal Taormina Peloritani which intertwines food and wine, popular music and enhancement of the villages.

Pagliara opened the sequence with an evening of local excellence: perfumes, flavors and shows animated the square, while the round table offered food for thought on the protection and promotion of traditions.
“Events like this strengthen the identity of our territory and remind us how important it is to make a network to promote our excellence,” said Mayor Sebastiano Gugliotta.

The next day, Limina welcomed visitors and tourists in an authentic atmosphere, with tastings and music that accompanied an intense moment of comparison.
“This initiative is a concrete opportunity to tell who we are and to highlight the cultural and food and wine heritage we keep,” said Mayor Filippo Ricciardi.
On the same line, the lawyer Garufi, on behalf of the Gal Taormina Peloritani, added: “Limina is the example of how a community can open up to the story of her roots, transforming them into cultural and economic attraction”.

Antillo was the first official stage of the “The taste of awareness” awareness cycle, dedicated to the theme of wheat as the Mediterranean root. Bread and fresh pasta have guided the path of taste and reflection, with great participation in the round table and children’s workshops.
«Starting from Antillo for this path is a source of pride. The wheat tells our story and our identity, “underlined the mayor Davide Paratore.

Closing in style in Alì Terme, with an overwhelming energy that involved the public also thanks to the surprise presence of Cateno De Luca, welcomed with warmth from the square.
“This is the demonstration that when the result and passion are united and passion is always winning,” said the mayor Tommaso Micalizzi.

The continuous journey: Sunday 17 August we start from Mandanici, and then land on Monday 18 August at 19:00 in Piazza IX Aprile in Taormina with the second stage of the thematic meetings “The taste of awareness”, a special appointment dedicated to the relationship between food and wine tradition and tourism, with the involvement of the little ones in creative workshops.

«The stages of Pagliara, Limina, Antillo and Alì Terme have demonstrated the strength of a project that knows how to unite communities, culture and gastronomy in a unique story of our territory. Each village has put its identity into the field, creating moments of authentic sharing. Now we prepare for the next dates with the enthusiasm of those who know that this is a journey that will leave its mark, “said the president of the Gal Taormina Peloritani, Antonio Bonfiglio.
