Tragic outcome for the accident that took place in a construction site of Furci Siculo on 3 April.
The worker who was seriously injured, Antonio Di Stefano, 58 years old from Pagliara, passed away in the past few hours at the Piedmont hospital in Messina due to the serious trauma reported. The man, an employee of a concrete company of Pagliara, had come to the wheel of a self -tanner in a private area where the work of completing a sports complex were underway, in order to supply the concrete construction site to perform the jet of the pillars: during the operations, however, he would have slipped from an iron ladder placed on the back of the medium of the work, beating the head violently on the ground. Conducted by ambulance at the Policlinico di Messina, he was hospitalized in a reserved prognosis in the resuscitation department and subsequently transferred to the Piedmont hospital, where he died in the past few hours due to the grateful traumas reported in the accident.
The investigation of the Carabinieri of the Santa Teresa di Riva station were immediately started after the incident and after the death of the 58 -year -old, the Messina prosecutor’s office could have the autopsy on the body of the worker and further investigations, with the dispute of the crime of manslaughter.
