Tomorrow, at 10am, in the Hall of Flags of Palazzo Zanca, in the presence of the mayor Federico Basile and the councilor for Cultural Policies and Tourism Enzo Caruso, the backstage of the filming in Messina of the film “Don Chisciotte” shot by Fabio Segatori, which will be screened in theaters throughout Italy in 2026, starring the actor Alessio Boni, will be presented as an absolute preview. The film was made with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture, together with the Calabria Film Commission, the Lucana Film Commission and the patronage of the Municipality of Messina and the Navy. During the press conference, a sequence will be shown which reconstructs, with the help of 3D graphics, the arrival of the fleet returning from the battle of Lepanto in 1571 in Messina and the hospitalization of Miguel de Cervantes in the Great Hospital of Messina. Also present at the screening will be the director Fabio Segatori, the co-writer and producer Paola Columba, the set designer from Messina Cinzia Muscolino and the executive producer of the Messina part of the film Gigi Spedale.
