Tourists in Italy increased by 6.22% during the summer of 2025: the “web -housing” surveys, the Interior Ministry database attest to it. In fact, from 21 June to 21 September 2025, 71,678,640 were those who stayed in accommodation facilities while, in the same period of 2024, there were 67,484,163.

The “web-housing” database is managed by the State Police and allows the managers of the accommodation, hotel and extra-hotel structures, to fulfill the obligation established by article 109, paragraph 3 of the consolidated text of the public security laws, a rule that prescribes to transmit to the competent police headquarters the generality of the people housed at their structure, within 24 hours of their arrival.
