“With this increase, the Municipalities will have covered the costs of the stabilized personnel in full for the first four years, thanks to the 54,000 euros guaranteed by the Calabria Region and to the approximately 2,000 euros per worker from the state fund (5 million total). However, it remains open – according to the CGIL – The question of sustainability from the fifth year onwards: Beyond the internal planning of the bodies – which will be able to count on Turn over and future retirements – it is essential that already in the next budget law a strengthening of the national fund is provided, to guarantee economic certainty and employment continuity. For this reason we ask that the Region, together with the unions and the municipalities, works immediately to obtain a structural increase of the state fund, ensuring further resources even beyond the duration of the one -off contribution “.

According to the union “Today the mayors have a concrete and unrepeatable occasion in front of them: to proceed with the hires. Those who have the conditions to stabilize, show it with formal acts. The time of the alibis and ambiguity is over. Now clear choices are needed, administrative courage and political responsibility. For the Municipalities that, despite everything, will not approve the resolutions, we reiterate what has already been announced: the excluded trainees will be accompanied in an alternative training and redevelopment path, with the aim of leading them to the signing of a contract at the end of the internship, but no longer with the same user body. The Region has communicated that, starting from August 1st, a new training phase will open for workers who will not be stabilized. A phase that must be managed with serious seriousness, vision and objectives, so that it turns into a true path of growth and not into a temporary container without prospects “.

Furthermore, “it should also be considered that upart of the trainees cannot be stabilized, not for lack of will, but because they are not in use at the municipalities. This is the case, for example, of the workers employed in schools, who – although formally assigned to the contribution – cannot be hired by educational institutions, since hiring are the exclusive competence of the Ministry. For these workers, as well as for those who will not be hired by the Municipalities, the training phase announced by the Region must be designed with concrete purposes of reuse, to offer real prospects and not to feed further forms of precariousness “.

For those who cannot do it, an alternative path of equal dignity must still be guaranteed, which recognizes the value of the work done in these years and offers concrete and credible solutions”.
