The Crotone prosecutor’s office opened an investigation into the case of the twins of Cutro data for deaths in 1970 but whose brothers reported that they were removed and sold. This was announced today by the prosecutor Domenico Guarascio during the Rai transmission “Italian stories” conducted by Eleonora Daniele. For now the file does not provide for crime hypothesis.
To report the incident nine years ago were the brothers Filomena and Francesco Oliverio who told of their mother who cried because the twins had stolen them. The story has returned to topical in recent months after the revelations of “Stories of the evening”, which has collected new testimonies. The fear is that it was not an isolated case but the beginning of a long list of horrendous stories characterized by the same script: other mothers, in fact, would have given birth to children alive in Crotone, in the 70s and, only after the transfer of newborns to Catanzaro for lack of incubators, the families would have been informed of the death of the newborn, without being returned any body, nor live. And to confirm this version would have been an midwife of the old structure that reported that “children were adopted by women who paid”. While recently a person has also undergone the DNA examination that suspected of being one of the twins of Cutro who disappeared but the outcome was negative.
