The streets of Cosenza were filled for the national strike called in solidarity with the Palestinian population. Processions, flags and banners have marked a day that saw the participation of unions, students, workers and associations, transforming the urban center into a place of protest and meeting.
The mobilization, promoted by USB, Cub, ADL and SGB, started in the morning and attracted a growing crowd to block the traffic in the afternoon. It is difficult to move in the streets, invaded by Palestinian flags and union symbols, in a climate of strong collective participation.
The message launched by the demonstrators is clear: express closeness to the population of Gaza. Not only a political gesture, but also a sign of hope and sharing, capable of resonating in a local context while talking about a global question.
