Anna Russo – yet another brawl this evening in the seaside village of Schiavonea, a stone’s throw from the church of Santa Maria di Nives. The brawl broke out between a group of citizens of Moroccan nationality and a group of apparently local people.
A man was injured in the fight and when the police arrived he was found on the ground and had to be transferred to the hospital by 118 ambulance. The dynamics of the brawl have yet to be reconstructed, perhaps linked to drug dealing issues. It is not the first time that the area in front of the parish church becomes the scene of furious brawls, especially between groups of foreign citizens which often degenerate into urban guerrilla warfare.
