Matteo Berrettini and Luciano Darderi enter the second round of the US Open tennis, underway in New York. Elisabetta Cocciaretto comes out immediately.
Berrettini beat the Swiss Stan Wawrinka 7-6(7/4) 7-6(7/3) 6-0 and will face the Argentine Mariano Navone, while Darderi beat the British Harry Wendelken 6-2 3-6 6-2 7-5 and will face the Czech Dalibor Svrcina.
Cocciaretto was eliminated 6-3 6-2 by the Czech Katerina Siniakova.
Today debuts on the hard courts of Flushing Meadows for Flavio Cobolli, Lorenzo Musetti, Mattia Bellucci, Francesco Passaro and Andrea Guerrieri.
