The modernization of the vascone market is still stalled. This was reported by the president of the third municipality, Alessandro Cacciotto, who in a note denounces the absence of progress despite the deadlines provided.
«New month, old life – writes Cacciotto -. This morning I went to the entrance of the curious market to check if with the beginning of September something had changed. But no, all old ».
According to the district councilor, the intervention had been delivered in March, with a roadmap that should have conducted the completion of the works by September and the reopening of the structure in November. “In reality – he underlines – in recent months almost nothing has been done”.
A situation that, according to Cacciotto, penalizes not only commercial operators but also citizens, forced to give up a renewed and functional structure. “In other cities the market represents a real shopping center – he observes – while the Vescon spend the months without changing anything”.
The president of the third municipality therefore urges the municipal administration to clarify: “Bet a blow, because the city must know the fate of one of the most popular markets in Messina”.
