The 80th edition of the Venice Film Festival officially kicks off. Eleven days dedicated to 23 films in competition, of which 6 Italian and 7 American and a catwalk of stars on the red carpet.

The first to parade are the actors and director of the film about Salvatore Todaro’s feat, from the protagonist Pierfrancesco Favino to the director Edoardo De Angelis, to the cast composed among others of Massimiliano Rossi, Johan Heldenbergh and Silvia D’Amico. Liliana Cavani also shows in a white dress and the couple Edoardo Leo and Claudia Gerini in dark dresses.

Caterina Murino, splendid and dressed in red, blends in chromatically with the red carpet at the Lido, as she prepares to host the opening ceremony of the Film Festival, edition n.80. And she is excited, she who was one of the most fascinating and admired ‘Bond girls’ Solange in the film ‘Casino Royale’. The warm and very particular voice of Malika Ayane gives the audience a moment of true magic, a tribute to one of the most iconic songs of Italian music, ‘Il cielo in una stanza’ by Gino Paoli.
