The measure was made possible following the official communication by the Calabria Polo of Italgas Reti, which confirmed the completion of the repairing intervention of the damaged pipe. According to reports from the company, the breakdown had been caused by processes carried out by third parties and required urgent intervention to guarantee public safety.
The first ordinance, n. 53, had been adopted as a precaution after the reporting of the provincial command of the Fire Brigade, which had detected a dangerous dispersion of methane in the area. Fortunately, the timely intervention of the technical teams and competent authorities has made it possible to restore the safety conditions in less than 24 hours.
