It was validated by the investigating judge at the Court of Vibo Valentia the arrest carried out by state police personnel against the individual who, on 13 June, had threatened healthcare personnel on duty at the orthopedics department of the Vibo Valentia hospital.
Specifically on that date, precisely as part of a broader mechanism to intensify surveillance services at healthcare facilities throughout the province, aimed at guaranteeing the safety of users and healthcare personnel, through a greater presence of police, Flying Squad of the Police Headquarters intervened at the orthopedics department of the “Jazzolino” following a report from healthcare personnel.
The immediate and timely intervention of the officers immediately made it possible to identify and block a subject who, shortly before, he had threatened verbally and then attempted to attack the healthcare workers present with a chair because he wanted to have his daughter examined before the other patients who were waiting at the time.
On the basis of what emerged from the immediate judicial police activities, carried out under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Vibo Valentia, the man was arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
After the validation of the arrest, the precautionary measure of the obligation to sign was ordered against the man.
