«There are those, like the Meloni Government, who allocate huge public resources amounting to tens of billions of euros for armaments while the people are starving, and those, like myself, who fight to ensure that citizens’ money is spent to redevelop the schools attended by our children and modernize the water network, so that in the summer we are not left without water or, worse, it is wasted. Two different and antithetical ways of conceiving politics, with profoundly different priorities.”
This is what the deputy of the 5 Star Movement Riccardo Tucci declared in a note, commenting on the signing of the agreement between the Municipality of Vibo Valentia and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, announced by the mayor Enzo Romeo, which will allow the release of the 2.5 million financing provided for by the “Tucci amendment”, included in the 2025 Budget Law.
«In detail, 1 million and 950 thousand euros will be allocated to schools, while the remaining 550 thousand euros will be used to strengthen the water network of the capital and the surrounding areas» – specifies Tucci.
«The renovation and adaptation of the school facilities – he continues – will affect, in particular, the Pennello, Vespucci, Bruzzano, Piscopio, Buccarelli and Savio schools, as well as the nursery school in Viale Accademie».
«Finally, I would like to point out – adds the parliamentarian – that what has been achieved is the result of collective work, which saw Mayor Enzo Romeo at the forefront, together with the councilor for Public Works and Infrastructure Salvatore Monteleone and the president of the commission Silvio Pisani. My sincere thanks go to them for their commitment and the goal achieved”, he concludes.
