It is water crisis in the Lentia residential complex, in Vulcano. About 500 residents and vacationers, for days, have been forced to live with a strong deficiency of water, with the legal representative of the condominium, Raffaele Granato Corigliano, on the war footing.
The complaint and the request for intervention
Granato Corigliano has publicly denounced and the judicial authority the serious critical issues of the island’s water distribution system. “It is no longer tolerable – says Granato – that the water service is not guaranteed in the contractual terms and that there are disparities of treatment between the different residential complexes, with particularly penalized lentia”. The representative filed a formal complaint to ask that the responsibilities on the bad management of the service are ascertained, which hypothesizes could derive from one mala gestio by the bodies responsible for distribution. Granato also urged the immediate intervention of the administrative and law enforcement authorities, so that a regular supply of water is restored and the disparities of treatment between the complexes of the island are eliminated.
Potential tax irregularities and administrative disservices
Among the anomalies reported by Corigliano also the failure to issue the regular electronic invoices by the Municipality, in violation of the tax regulations in force. A situation that generates negative repercussions on annual budgets and prevents users from regularly welding what is due. “In the past – comments the administrator – the municipal offices have even prevented access to the island to some owners despite the fact that they had regularly paid the Tari, but they were not in possession of the receipt”.
