Critical issues persist in the management of the delivery of municipal solid waste intended for treatment. This is what Akrea SpA communicates in a note sent to the Municipality of Crotone and the competent offices, following the problems encountered at the TMB of Ponticelli.
According to what is reported in the communication, yesterday, Sunday 6 September, the plant remained closed, preventing the regular delivery of urban waste classified with CER code 20.03.01.
The situation has had repercussions on the organization of services in the area, with delays and slowdowns in collection activities. Akrea also highlights that, despite the requests made, 35 tonnes of RUR (residual urban waste) were authorized, an amount considered insufficient compared to the city’s needs.
A significant fact concerns today’s morning: the first vehicle left in line since 7am did not unload until 8.27am, confirming the operational difficulties and waiting times caused by the situation of the plants.
Akrea therefore informed the competent institutions and bodies that the critical issues recorded may lead to further slowdowns and delays in the execution of urban hygiene services in the city area. The company is monitoring the evolution of the situation and has also sent the documentation relating to the programming of the platform to the competent offices.
