Third day of the women’s Serie C Regional Championship. The top clash took place in Rossano between Volleyball Rossano and GM Volley 2000 who faced each other with the utmost determination, giving life to a spectacular and very close match which, after more than 2 hours of play, rewarded the girls locals who prevailed 3 to 1 (25/22, 24/26, 25/23, 26/24) but the athletes from Cosenza left the field with their heads held high with the applause and compliments of the very sporty Rossonese public.
Driven by the irrepressible Giorgia Grandi and Ludovica Mastroianni, GM Volley 2000 always played and fought back point after point throughout the match and from the 2nd set onwards it was always ahead in the last and decisive points of each fraction. GM Volley 2000 began the match with: setter Ilaria Totera, opposite Nicole Di Fino, central defenders Melania Gualtieri and Gessica Conforti, forwards Giorgia Grandi and Ludovica Mastroianni. During the sets, the input of Anna Perri (8 points in attack), Eva Morace and Francesca Belfiore was invaluable and often decisive.
