The IDF says helicopters and fighter planes have intercepted and shot down five drones over the Mediterranean. According to the IDF, the drones were shot down before entering Israeli airspace. The army says there is no longer any security concern at Ben Gurion Airport, the Times of Israel reports.

No alternative to resolution 1701

Meanwhile, Lebanon’s interim prime minister, Najib Mikati, said that there is no alternative to United Nations resolution 1701, but added that “new agreements” could be reached to implement it: this was reported in a statement released by his office on Monday as reported Haaretz.
Security Council Resolution 1701, adopted in 2006, requires the UN to assign a peacekeeping mission to help the Lebanese army keep its southern border area with Israel free of weapons or armed personnel other than those of the Lebanese state.
