«Italy is the first European nation to present a formal request for the payment of the seventh installment of the Pnrr. It is a record that will soon allow us to exceed quota 140 billion eurosover 72% of the Plan’s total allocation. The 2025 it will be a fundamental year for phase 2 of the Pnrr, i.e. the grounding of investments. It was broadcast today, at European Commissionthe request for payment of the seventh installment of National Recovery and Resilience Plan equal to 18.3 billion euros. This is what we read in a note from Palazzo Chigi. The request presented by Italy follows the work of the PNRR control room of last November 29th, chaired by the Prime Minister, Giorgia Melonito verify the achievement of the 67 connected objectivesdistinguished in 32 targets And 35 milestones.
Objectives of the seventh installment
Among the objectives of the seventh instalment, investments for the implementation of electricity transmission infrastructure (SA CO I.3 and Tyrrhenian link), the strengthening of the fleet of bus and of zero-emission trains for regional transport, metropolitan nodes and main national connections, the redevelopment of many railway stationsthe measures for the cybersecuritythe activation of 480 Territorial Operations Centers (COT) to strengthen performance on public healthinvestments for better management of water resourcesthe provision of 55,000 scholarships to deserving less well-off students for access to University, of 7,200 doctoral scholarships in the fields of research, PA and of culture and of 6,000 innovative doctoral scholarships dedicated to businesses.
Strategic reforms
In addition to investments, various strategic reforms are added, such as the law on competitionthe completion of measures to speed up the Public Administration paymentsthe revision of universal civil service to encourage the participation of young people and the provision on renewablein line with the ambitious objectives of the new mission REPowerEU of PNRR of Italy.
