A meeting, the first of the new year, aimed at defining fundamental aspects for the stabilization of Calabrian trainees. The appointment is set for Wednesday 15 January at 12pm in the Cittadella and will feature the leaders of the Region and representatives of the main trade union organisations. On the table, needless to say, they are there financial coverage and implementation measures to give consistency to the amendment included in the latest budget law and aimed at offering a less uncertain future to an audience of around 4 thousand precarious workers. The law provides that «public administrations can proceed with permanent hiring, even with part-time employment contracts, also making use of selection procedures, even in derogation, until 31 December 2026, of interns falling within the paths of social inclusion aimed at unemployed people already receiving exceptional mobility benefits, implemented following the framework agreement on the criteria for access to exceptional social safety nets in Calabria, as workers supernumerary, to the personnel requirement plan and to hiring constraints, within the limits of the resources allocated without new or greater burdens on public finances”. Furthermore, it is expected that «by decree of the Minister for Public Administration in agreement with the Mef, the unused resources, for the years 2024, 2025 and 2026, are reassigned to the Region».
In the last few hours, the unions have returned to pressing the Citadel, asking to make available, immediately, the one-off contribution of 25 thousand euros paid by the Region to entities and/or individuals who hire from the pool of trainees. Equal clarity is requested regarding the definition of the access criteria to the so-called pension slide (the USB only applies on a voluntary basis) for trainees over 60 and on the situation of former ministerial trainees.
