The manifesto to create the Reggio of the near future. The Hon. Francesco Cannizzaroregional coordinator of Forza Italia, yesterday morning spared no effort in analyzing the past, present and future of Reggio and its surroundings. The blue parliamentarian started from afar by summing up the activity carried out in the last year which culminated with the approval of numerous amendments «to make the Reggio and Calabrian territory grow starting from the resources that have allowed the stabilization of thousands of trainees”. Then other equally important ones followed, «because – he explained – I did nothing other than bring to the Government’s attention the requests that came from the territory, trying to identify measures that can then have a concrete impact, just as they are trying to have implements all the measures already activated by the amendments to the Budget in recent years”.
From the famous “Cannizzaro amendment” that he intended 25 million euros for the Strait Airport (“which has become, with the reorganization of ITA flights and the arrival of Ryanair, the first airport in Europe for increased passengers”, he underlined), going from that for 15 million for the port up to the latest results obtained for the construction in Reggio of a university campus in the center of the city (“even if Mayor Falcomatà didn’t like it, we will soon illustrate it in detail with the rector Zimbalatti”, he promised) up to the money raised for the purchase of 10 minibuses for the transport of disabled people in the Metropolitan City area. And again: the funds (4 million) for the Municipalities of the Gallico valley to create reception infrastructures and coordination with the large Gallico-Gambarie expressway; the attention to safeguarding a musical event of great value and tradition such as Roccella Jazz, the three million euros for the Lido Comunale of Reggio Calabria and those to allow the (re)birth of the Districts also in Reggio (“but not yet realized by this municipal administration which prefers to lose funds rather than improve the government of the city” recalled Cannizzaro). And again, the resources allocated to the Antonimina Baths, to the ancient village of Pentidattilo, and the unblocking of the works for the completion of the Palace of Justice in Reggio Calabria.
