A fire of vast proportions hit the industrial area of Vibo Valentia in the night near the airport. The flames wrapped a square used for car rental, destroying Ten cars and two cassoni for waste collection. The alarm went off around 2 am when the firefighters teams of the provincial command intervened promptly to tame the stake.
Three vehicles were employed on the spot with the relative staff, who worked for about two hours before they can completely turn off the flames and secure the area. The intervention ended around 4:15 am. At the moment the causes of the fire are not yet clear, and no hypothesis is excluded, including the malicious one.
The police are carrying out the investigations to reconstruct the dynamics of the event and identify any responsibilities. The stake caused large economic damage, but fortunately there are no injuries.
