“Rilancio” is one of the keywords of the new urban agenda. A word-objective from which, therefore, the success or failure of a strategy will pass, the one indicated by the Mayor Nicola Fiorita and from its assessors in the presentation of the Policy 5 (OP 5) goal plan linked to PR Calabria 21-27. In this path there is also the historic center and its “twins” scattered throughout the city, from Gagliano to Lido and Santa Maria.
In the historic center raised by the activities of activity over the past few decades, the strategy indicated is aimed at relaunching the economy and proximity trade. To dwell on this programming is the councilor Daniela Palaia for which “the enhancement of the historic center, in particular, cannot fail to switch from a program of measures aimed at making attractive the possibility of investing in the area, creating the right conditions for the opening of innovative activities in the field of trade, of ‘food and wine and crafts “. To do this, it is necessary to stimulate the birth of new entrepreneurial models “with a view to the reuse of historical properties and the involvement of the local community”. The investment of 2 million euros for aid to innovative companies and territorial marketing “goes in the direction of encouraging the private initiative in order to relaunch the economic and social fabric”.
