Three picture disk “print tests” of the first historical records of Metal Buy in Sweden, Holland And USA (there are only three copies in the world), the text of the famous song “Smells like Teen Spirit” autographed by Kurt Cobain of the Nirvanaa 1966 picture of the guitarist of Rolling Stones Ronnie Wooda poster autographed by Sex Pistols and a t-shirt worn by their leaders Johnny Rottenbut above all over 18 thousand vinyls and hundreds of memorabilia: they are the record numbers that boasts Nicola Nastasithe greatest Italian collector of rock music, metal, punk, hard core and other more specific subgenres.

A huge passion and a tireless research of the rare or almost unique have accompanied a painstaking collection path that has lasted for 40 years: “I was born in 1971 and I started collecting in 1986, just 15 years old, from there I never stopped – he explains Nastasioriginally from Swordfora and profession of profession – the love for records was born when I bought the first LP of the group Deathinside I found a leaflet that was used to collect the shirt of that vinyl and which was marked by a small half -unknown company, today the largest merchandising distributor linked to metal. Upon arrival of the t-shirt they sent me the complete catalog that proposed vinyls of various bands including Metal And many others in different versions. For example, “Creeping Death” in green vinyl, in transparent vinyl, red, etc. So I discovered that these products existed and I got them all. Over time I discovered that there were many other versions and from there the collecting began that gradually became more extreme and professional, leading me to also include memorabilia, fanzines, posters, photos, various out of commercial material, promotional objects, musical instruments, demotape in short … everything that is linked to music and not just records. Then in the years new discoveries that led me to have a network of world contacts made of journalists, tour managers, friends of the members of the bands, people who work or have worked with them “.

There are many artists and bands present in the “Rock Museum” of Nastasikept in the house where he lives, but they are the most sought after pieces to embellish the collection: in addition to Iron Maiden, Venom, Slayer, CCCP – faithful to the line and other well -known complexes, the complete discography of Death SSItalian group of the late 1970s, i Mittageisenan unknown Milanese group that made, in 1979, just one hundred numbered copies, fifty of which were destroyed during their first concert e Nastasi holds n. 26; from the first exit of the Diaphragm of 1982 – a split together with the Punkow – printed in 500 copies attached to the fanzine Lacery at the promotional box-set of Krisma Of Maurizio Arceriprinted in 200 copies with lots of make-up set, a puzzle, the disc and several other stuff to another promotional box-set, that of Prozac+ containing a mouse and other stuff; and still unobtainable vinyl of Litfiba, Worse punk, Wretched, Shotgun Solution And many others. He also bought important guitars: one belonged to a member of the Death SS, Emil Banderaand it is autographed; another, always signed, is of Dimebag Darrell of the Panther. Nastasi He is considered a real authority in the field, so much so that he has collaborated in the drafting of an immense work, a book that catalogs all Italian record production from 1977 to today of any rock and metal subgenre; It also has the entire Italian punk production from ’77 to 87 in any existing version, including foreign ones.

Nastasi he recently decided to “open” his collection by transforming his restaurant, “The Count’s farmhouse” to Torregrottain an innovative style space Hard Rock Cafè And he selected about fifty rare pieces, records and particular objects to show them and make them usable to the public for free, hoping to recall the attention of the public and of course fans and lovers of the rock and metal genre: thus it will be inaugurated tomorrow (Friday 28 February) at 19.00, in the renewed “Rock Art Restaurant”permanent exposure “Rock Art Forever” which also includes some works of contemporary art.
