A meeting between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is “possible” and “necessary”but there is still work to do, “that moment has not yet arrived”.
This was said by the spokesman for the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov in an interview with ArchTrk taken from Tass. “Perhaps it will also be necessary to formalize some important agreements that will be reached over time, after a lot of work has been done. But that moment has not yet arrived,” said Peskov. “That job has yet to be done.” Donald Trump’s statements indicate the desire to achieve an agreement in Ukraine as soon as possible, but Washington is increasingly understanding the complexity of this “long and difficult” process added. We are used to a “rather hard and direct rhetoric”, added Peskov, but “at the same time confirms its intention to continue doing everything possible to facilitate a peaceful solution”. Even Putin “repeatedly expressed the desire to arrive” to a peaceful agreement “as quickly as possible”.
“Moscow wants to launch up to 2 thousand drones simultaneously in Ukraine”
The head of the situational center for Ukraine at the German Ministry of Defense, the division of the Bundeswehr Christian Freuding, said yesterday that Moscow intends to launch up to 2,000 drones at the same time to Ukraine: the Ukrainian media report it. This “will represent a serious challenge for the Ukrainian air defense system”, added Freuding in a podcast. “Intelligent countermeasures” are needed, he added, observing that the use of Patriot missiles is illogical against the Russian Kamikaze drones, whose cost is 30-50 thousand euros, while a Patriot missile costs over 5 million.
