The document, which regulates the relations between the Municipality and the local public transport company, had been approved by the City Council last 10 aprile And this morning he was signed by the administrators of Palazzo Zanca and by the representatives of the transport company.
The mayor Federico Basile, the deputy mayor Salvatore Mondello, the president of ATM Carla Grillo, together with the competent managers of Palazzo Zanca, formally put the seal on the “service contract between the Municipality and ATM SPA for the in -house custody providing the urban local public transport and accessory services in the city of Messina”, which will remain in force until up to the July 31, 2035.
“With the signature on purpose this morning we close the circle on a fundamental document, through which we lay the foundations for the continuation of the ATM growth and innovation path that began in 2020”, says Mayor Basile.
“With the new service contract between the Municipality and ATM we clearly define the objectives to be achieved in the next 10 years. Among the novelties there is, for example, the increase in the kilometers crossed by bus and trams, to reach the current 6.1 km to about 6.5 million km in the next decade”, declares the Viccesindaco Mondello.
“The new service contract outlines ATM’s path for the next 10 years. On the horizon there are new challenges, which we will face with the usual determination and with the sole objective of creating an increasingly modern and efficient local public transport service,” concludes President Grillo.
