Messina, his port, the Strait: absolute protagonists of the episode of “Blue Line”, which aired yesterday on Rai Uno. A journey conducted, with the usual professionalism, by Donatella Bianchi and Fabio Gallo, who led the viewers “between sea, nature, traditions and innovation in one of the most fascinating maritime joints in the Mediterranean”.
First of all, highlighted, with the images and strength of the numbers, the relevance of the port of Messina: first in Europe by number of passengers, among the first six in Italy for traffic of crocerists, also important for the goods thanks to Milazzo, which is part of the same port system authority (also including the ports of Villa San Giovanni and Reggio Calabria). A port, therefore, “which is together international crossroads and a place full of local culture”.
The suggestions of this journey start from the symbol of Messina, the Madonnina della Lettera, “sentinel of the historic port -shaped port, considered among the safest in the Mediterranean”.
