They are still in the eyes of those who have admired the tests of the arrow of the arrows that will perform in the sky above the Strait of Messina this afternoon. Even without the characteristic “colored smoke”, already yesterday the emotion of those who from balconies, terraces and from the beaches witnessed the acrobatics of the nine planes in the team plus the soloist was already great. Privileged audience tomorrow, transformed into pedestrian island, will be that of the Pompea consular road between the Pace and Fiumara Guardia stream. Hundreds of “overlooking” people both on the lamps of the coast and on the overview with the arrows that furrowed the sky of the Strait for half an hour.
The hours preceding the great show
Already yesterday the prohibitions were triggered. From seven in the morning the first activities to give security and full usability to the area of the promenade where the bulk of the spectators who witnessed the general tests of the show which is scheduled for today starting at 15.20. While on Friday afternoon the acrobatic patrol had carried out a couple of flyers on the “maneuvers” area: nine planes in the team plus the soloist.
The natural terrace, transformed into pedestrian island, is that of the Pompea consular road between the Pace and Fiumara Guardia stream. The panoramic road of the Strait will also remain regularly passable today and will be the only way (together with the Colli Statale) to go from North to South. The ATM will enhance the urban lines and, primarily, the shuttle which will have a frequency of 10 minutes. Shuttle services provided by the station, from the Papardo parking, from Franco Scoglio and all the interchange areas.
