Tragedy in the locride, off the coastal town of Grotteria Mare. The lifeless body of a 63 -year -old surveyor of Ivrea, Fabio Lova, on vacation with the family in Locride was found this morning a few miles away from the shore by the military of the coast guard of Roccella Jonica in a stretch of sea located between the municipalities of Siderno and Locri. Of the man, died probably because of a sudden illness, traces had been lost from late afternoon yesterday, that is, since, in Grotteria Mare, he had decided to enter the water and, as he loved to do every day of his holiday, make a long swim. A little less than an hour after his failure to return to Riva to launch the alarm was the wife who was on the Goterotia Mare beach.
The research of the Piedmontese professional had immediately taken yesterday afternoon and then continued even during last night with the aid, from above, also of a helicopter of the Coast Guard Aircraft of Catania. In addition to the military of two motorboats of the Roccella Jonica coast guard, in the stretch of sea in question also the divers of the Messina firefighters in the Square of Messina. After the recovery, the transport of the body in the port of Roccella and the identification, the body of the Piedmontese professional, at the disposal of the Locri prosecutor’s office, was returned to family members.
