The commander of the Carabinieri Legion “Sicilia” Ubaldo del Monaco visiting the stations of the Carabinieri of the Aeolian Islands

On the days of the Ferragosto holiday, the commander of the “Sicily” carabinieri Legion, a Brigadier Ubaldo del Monaco, visited the offices of the carabinieri stations located throughout the Aeolian archipelago. Accompanied by the provincial commander Colonel Lucio Arcidiacono and by the commander of the Compagnia di Milazzo Captain Alberto Del Basso, the Monaco General, who for some months has taken on the prestigious commander of Commander of the “Sicily” Legion, began his visit from the Lipari station, where he was also welcomed by the representatives of the National Carabinieri Association, to then continue at the time of the Stromboli station and the fixed place of Panarea. The following day, he visited the stations of Santa Marina Salina, Filicudi and Vulcano. During the visits, General Del Monaco addressed the military words of gratitude and esteem for the operational results achieved and for the daily commitment made to the service of the community, especially in the summer period in which there is a great influx of tourists and the carabinieri in the islands are called to greater effort to guarantee the safety of all citizens. In his intervention, moreover, the General has emphasized the centrality of the citizen and on the value of the proximity to the population, highlighting how this principle materializes in careful listening and in the constant presence that the carabinieri guarantee in carrying out their functions, especially actually complex such as the islanders in which the garrisons of the weapon are tangible expression of the presence of the state. At the end of the visits, the provincial commander of Messina, Colonel Lucio Arcidiacono, in addressing a heartfelt thanks to the commander of the Legion for the attention shown, renewed the commitment of all the carabinieri of the provincial command in facing the delicate tasks that are entrusted to the weapon determination.
