Arthur Atmane came to the challenge with Jannik Sinner (today 24 years old) after a brilliant journey: he had eliminated in the order from Fritz, Rune, Fonseca and Cobolli, showing talent, fantasy and a left -handed arm capable of quick and spectacular blows. Quality that, together with the charism on the field, will surely guarantee him the attention of the sponsors.
But against Sinner, today, it was not enough. The blue confirmed that it is “of another category”, capable of raising the level in the key moments up to the top of the tops which, for those who observe it, seem unattainable. The score (7-6, 6-2) tells a balanced game only in the first set, when Atmane tried to hold the rhythm and exploit its variety of game.
In the tie-break, however, Sinner showed his usual coldness, pushing on the accelerator and leaving a few margins to the opponent. In the second set, the South Tyrolean took off, dominating the exchanges and managing every situation with the safety of those who know they can count on an almost perfect tennis.
For Atmane it remains a high -level tournament and the awareness of being able to compete with the best. For Sinner, however, another proof of strength and the feeling that, in the decisive moments, his tennis really flight … How do you do only in paradise.
