Sinner-Alcaraz, the saga changes stage: final today in Cincinnati. The balance on the fast

It is already one of the most fascinating rivalries of modern tennis, and each new chapter promises show.
Jannik Sinner (victorious in two sets on Atmane with a score of 7-6/6-2) and Carlos Alcaraz (who beat Zverev 6-4/6-3) find themselves once again face to face, this time on the concrete of Ohio for the final of the Masters 1000 of Cincinnati 2025.
It will be the sixth challenge on the fast between the two young phenomena, protagonists of a saga destined to mark an era.

The previous five

The first intersection on Hard Court dates back to March 18, 2023, when in Indian Wells it was the Spaniard who got the better of the semifinal with a dry 7-6, 6-3.
Two weeks later, on March 31, the revenge arrived: Miami Sinner passed Alcaraz in three sets, 6-4, 6-2, winning the final then won against Medvedev.

The challenge returned to Asia in the autumn of the same year, and to Beijing (October 3, 2023) was still the South Tyrolean to impose himself, this time in two clear sets, 7-6, 6-1, with a very high level performance.
In 2024, however, the script changed again: to Indian Wells (March 16) it was Alcaraz to reassemble, imposing 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 and booking the Californian title.

The last precedent, dated 2 October 2024, saw the two contenders face each other in the China Open final in Beijing: a match fought, won by Alcaraz 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, which brought back the scale of rivalry.

In Cincinnati the umpteenth chapter

Five meetings, insured show, and a balance that at the moment sees Alcaraz ahead 3-2 on the cement. Cincinnati will therefore be the sixth battle on the fast, yet another stage of a rivalry that has already given celestial tennis and that promises to write many pages of history again.

Today in Ohio it will not only be a final of Masters 1000: it will be another chapter of the challenge that passionate about world tennis, the duel destined to mark the new era.
