“In this affair we do not see any crime and for this we have not ordered the autopsy and we have already given the clearance for the burial of the body”. So the prosecutor of Pisa, Teresa Angela Camelio, tries to close the controversy at a distance between Italy and Israel on the medical conditions of the 20 -year -old Palestinian Marah Abu Zhuri, who came from Gaza and died two days after his hospitalization at the Pisan hospital of Cisanello where he arrived in a state of “serious organic deterioration” but not affected by leukemia, as he supported Tel Aviv.

The green light at the funeral, which will be celebrated on Wednesday at 12.00 in San Giuliano Terme (Pisa), and to whom the Italian ambassador of Palestine Abeer Odeh is also expected, therefore, closes the healthcare “lawsuit” exploded in the past few hours after the primary of hematology of the Pisan hospital had excluded, “based on the tests that we have performed” the presence of oncological pathologies, highlighting ” organic deterioration complex ».

Today Marah’s mother was also received by the Prefect of Pisa, Maria Luisa D’Alessandro, to whom she had asked for a meeting to “accelerate the burial process”: “I gladly accepted – said the Prefect – to demonstrate her closeness and comfort for the tragedy she is passing. It was an ideal but very heartfelt hug. It is not an institutional gesture, but of institutional value to make her feel the human closeness of our country”.

D’Alessandro also “assured her support in the event that she wanted to request asylum, but the lady, who seemed to me a sweet mother, instead asked me quickly for the burial and then returned to Palestine, where the other six children, five sisters and a brother of Marah remained, together with her husband”. The funeral, therefore, will take place with a public ceremony on Wednesday at 9:30 am at the “Tiziano Terzani” Park of Peace in Pontasses, a hamlet of the Sangiulianese municipality.

The mayor, Matteo Cecchelli, announced this: “In addition to the national and regional political representatives, the Ambassador of Palestine in Italy is also expected, Abeer Odeh – he said – subsequently the body will be buried in a cemetery in our municipal area”. For now, the mayor wanted to keep the reserve on the final destination even if he has assured that “an agreement has already been found with the girl’s family and the Imam of Pisa, Mohammad Khalil”. The reserve is due to the will of the Municipality to maintain the maximum confidentiality of the 20 -year -old mother at the time of their daughter’s burial.
