Investigations were triggered after the report of a family on vacation in S. Teresa di Riva remained intoxicated following a dinner in a restaurant in the Ionian town. Investigators did not provide the name of the commercial activity affected by the fact.
Father, mother, two children and the grandmother, all from Brescia, chose a place to spend the evening of August 7, but a few hours later they were forced to ask for the help of the doctors accusing the typical symptoms of a food poisoning, ending up hospitalized at the Polyclinic of Messina.
Discharged on the day of August, and returned to Lombardy, they filed a complaint with the Carabinieri station of Erbusco, a center of almost 9,000 inhabitants located in Franciacorta, who forwarded the complaint to the Public Prosecutor of Brescia.
Most likely the case will be followed by territorial competence by the Public Prosecutor of Messina, after the possible transmission of the documents by the Brescia judiciary.
In the meantime, however, the Nas of the Carabinieri of Catania and the inspectors of the Provincial Healthcare Company of Messina would have already started the investigations inside the room and the results will soon be communicated to the judiciary, as well as to the Municipality of S. Teresa di Riva if the adoption of measures under the competence of the local authority is necessary.
