The State Police intensified the checks in the main tourist destinations of Crotone with an imposing safety device ordered by the commissioner Renato Panvino. The operation has involved agents of the police headquarters and the various joints – including administrative police, mobile team, anti -crime, digos, immigration, road and railway – with the aim of preventing crimes related to drug dealing, monitor subjects subjected to restrictive measures and verify the regularity of commercial activities.
Overall, between the capital and the province, 815 people (162 with precedents) were identified, 391 vehicles and raised 8 penalties to the highway code. A catering activity was also affected by an administrative sanction.
Focus in Cirò Marina
In the Ionian city, the prevention activity focused on roads and local, with the following results:
394 subjects controlled, of whom 85 with precedents in the SDI database;
19 checks to house arrest and 1 to a special surveillance;
190 controlled vehicles;
4 fines to the Highway Code, with a driving license and a guide without a contested license;
A control to a business, which ended with a penalty.
In particular, the administrative team has verified a restaurant where they were identified owner and employee. The worker will follow investigations to clarify the contractual position, while the owner has been sanctioned for irregularities in the HACCP food self -control procedures, with a fine of 2,000 euros.
Checks in Crotone and along the coast
The checks also concerned the capital, where 349 people (62 with precedents) were identified between the city center and areas of the nightlife, 178 vehicles and contested 4 violations of the highway code.
On the promenade of Le Castella, in Isola Capo Rizzuto, another area with a high tourist turnout, the police identified 70 people (15 with previous ones) and controlled 23 vehicles.
The road, on the other hand, has patrolled the main arteries, stopping 27 vehicles and identifying as many drivers: three high penalties. The railway concentrated the activity in the areas close to the stations, checking 52 vehicles and 96 people, with a penalty to the highway code.
With this massive operation, the State Police intended to strengthen the perception of safety in the Crotone tourist centers in the middle of the summer season, reiterating attention on respect for the rules, both in the street and in commercial activities.
