Action reiterates its line in view of the next regional elections, specifying that there will be no lists in support of candidates related to the 5 Star Movement. In the same way, the party excludes any support for exponents of the Democratic Party who adapt to programs conditioned by the pentastellato.

“It serves development, non -transformism”

According to the position expressed by the party leaders, the country needs to focus on development, competition, infrastructures and efficiency of public spending. However, the political scenario that is outlining in view of the regional vote, including Calabria (the center -left has tridic candidate), is described as “the quintessence of transformism, without ideas and concrete programs to improve the functioning of the regions”.

“Right and left – it is underlined – they limit themselves to exchanges of armchairs and personal career paths. The Democratic Party oscillates between the prostration towards the Cinquestelle and the submission to the local cacicchi. Two trends that often be welded, making all trace of reformism disappear”.

Abstentism and clientelism

Action also highlights the risk that, once again, the abstention will prevail at the next regional regional ones, while the vote will dominate the vote will be the clientele logic. A dynamic that, according to the party, highlights “the degeneration of regionalism, a disease against which action has always fought”.

Towards a liberal front

The line remains that of not submitting “to the blackmail of bipopulism” and to look already at the next policies with the aim of building a strong alternative liberal front to traditional sides.

The regional coordinator points out

“We have joined the reformist federation that at the parties table has decided unitary to support the candidacy of Pasquale Tridico and we will not take back.” This is what AGI declares the regional coordinator of action, Francesco De Nisi, regarding what was declared today by the party leader, Carlo Calenda, according to which “there will be no action lists in support of 5S candidates in the regional elections” of Calabria scheduled for 5 and 6 October next. In this regard, De Nisi confirms that in support of Tridico, candidate for the presidency of the Region for the Largo field, “there will be no lists with the symbol of action” but that there will be “party members who have joined the reformist federation which, therefore, will run with the unitary symbol. We started with this pole – added De Nisi – which is an aggregation of parties and, as decided at the table, we will democratically support three -three, carrying out our values ”.
