A small car stolen from Fagnano Castello last July was found, almost completely dismantled, in the mountain of the Sammarchese territory. The car, a gray Fiat Panda, had been sectioned and, in fact, the local police staff found only the bodywork resting on the tires. The discovery is due to a round of wide range carried out by the patrol made up of the chief marshal Carmine Pellegrino and the deputy brigadier Salvatore Presta, who, in the locality called Acqua di San Giovanni, noted – among the shrubs and the vegetation present – what remained of the car in question. The carcass rested on the four wheels but had been disassembled and the four counters had disappeared, including the rear hatch, as well as the engine whose compartment was completely empty. From the subsequent investigations of the case, the two operators of the Local Police, residing with the vehicle owner, a person residing in Fagnano Castello, who had denounced the theft, at the Carabinieri station of his municipality, which occurred during the last month. The raking of the territory in impervious and sometimes not very popular areas such as the mountain territory between San Marco Argentano and Mongrassano demonstrates once again the usefulness of the service from the point of view of the prevention and repression of some crimes, and – in the present case – at least in having found a means disappeared by the availability of the owner who has been aware of it. A due applause to the operating agents has arrived, for this reason, by Annarita Trotta commander of the local police who strictly patrol the territory.
