The Provincial Directorate of the Democratic Party of Crotone, collecting the request from the territories and the Provincial Assembly, has chosen to propose the secretary Leo Barberio and Alessandra Pugliese as candidates for councilors to the next regional elections of 5 and 6 October.
Barberio welcomed with a sense of responsibility and pride the decision by declaring: “It fills me with pride that the entire managerial group and the individual local sections have confidence in my potential candidacy. I believe it is the natural continuation of a political journey that began four years ago and which represents the desire to renew the Democratic Party promoted by the regional secretary Nicola Irto.
In recent years, together with the whole democratic community, we have conducted fundamental battles for the territory: from the reclamation of the Sin to the defense of public health, up to the relaunch of the infrastructures. Crucial themes on which the regional government led by Roberto Occhiuto and the territorial management by Forza Italia, represented by Sergio Ferrari, have shown that they can make propaganda, but without ever offering concrete solutions to the communities.
If my candidacy is accepted, the goal will be to bring these battles into the regional institutions to make them concrete actions, in the interest not only in the province of Crotone, but of all the Calabrians. “
Great satisfaction from Alessandra Pugliese who commented as follows: “My choice by the provincial Democratic Party fills me with pride. It is the concrete sign of the desire to renew that the party is also carrying out at regional level. The availability for the candidacy for the next regional elections represents for me not only a great responsibility, but also a recognition of the path of over fifteen years of militancy and constant commitment in the life of the party, both locally Democratic and young Democrats.
I consider this indication of an award to work together with many and many street companions, but above all a further stimulus to continue to make my contribution for the future of our community and Calabria “.
With this choice, the provincial Democratic Party aims to strengthen the presence of a young ruling class, rooted and determined to represent the real instances of the Crotone and Calabrian community.
