The carabinieri of the Roccabernarda station, supported by the Operational and Radiomobile nucleus of the Petilia Policastro Company, arrested a local man, retired and already known to the police, responsible for a violent aggression against his ex -wife.
According to what was reconstructed, the man would have hit the woman with the most of the neck and shoulder, using a knife, for reasons related to the separation that took place about a year ago. Only the rapid intervention of the rescue avoided more serious results: the victim, urgently transported to the hospital of Cosenza, is out of danger of life but hospitalized for the necessary treatments.
The findings were performed by the investigative unit of the Carabinieri of Crotone. At the disposal of the judicial authority, the man was transferred to the psychiatric ward of the Crotone hospital, under house arrest, pending validation.
The investigations, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Crotone directed by the prosecutor Domenico Guarascio, are conducted by the military of Roccabernarda and Petilia Policastro.
