A recognition that goes beyond the artistic celebration, for a film that traces a tranche de vie di Goliarda Sapienza, based on its 1983 autobiographical novel “The University of Rebibbia” (Einaudi). “Outside”, acclaimed film by Mario Martone, already presented in Cannes, receives the prize for the best supporting actor, paid to the Palermo Corrado Fortuna, as part of the twenty -third Kinéo prize – historic collateral event of the Venice exhibition – which was held in the evening at the Ca ‘Sagredo Hotel, right on the day of the twenty -ninth anniversary of the death of the great writer from Catanese.
In the film Fortuna plays the fellow citizen Angelo Pellegrino, character and writer, husband of Sapienza (Valeria Golino), who in 1998 published the post -posthum writing “The art of joy” at his own expense, after the refusal of several publishers. For the actor a touching and immersive experience. «I met Angelo before shooting – he told us – and he is an eighty -year -old gentleman that I loved madly. When he talks about Goliarda he gets excited, see his eyes change. I therefore thought that this gaze in love and melancholy could be the first element to start to interpret it from. Theirs was a relationship that lasted twenty years, with 22 age differences never perceived. What we tell in the film is a piece of their love story, short but significant of the peculiarity of their relationship ». An important recognition in an evening that saw great Italian and internationally alternating alternating.
