Yet another tragedy along the state road 106, sadly known as the “road of death”. A fatal accident broke the life of Giuseppe Gallelli, sixty -year -old from the place, who was traveling aboard his scooter on Saturday in the evening. The man was in the territory of Badolato, headed for Soverato. For reasons still under investigation, the two -wheeled vehicle would have lost stability. The scooter suddenly skidded, ending up on the asphalt.
The fall proved to be fatal and there was nothing to do for Gallelli. The rescue arrived on the spot could only ascertain their death. The body of the man was subsequently transferred for the ritual surveys. In fact, an autopsy on the body arranged by the magistrate will be performed in order to better clarify the dynamics of the incident. The investigations are entrusted to the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Soverato. The military carried out the reliefs along the roadway for several hours, therefore the area has been completely closed to traffic to allow operations. Motorists in transit, to get around the blockade, were forced to fall back on alternative paths. In particular, many have taken the road below the Gallipari bridge.
