The Bright Star 2025 has ended in recent days, one of the most important American and Egyptian joint -guide multinational exercises, which saw the participation of numerous naval, aerial and terrestrial forces from various allied countries.
Italy took part in the operation with two relief units of the Navy: Nave Trieste, the most recent and imposing aircraft carriers of the fleet, and Fasan ship, a Fremm class frigate that currently holds the role of flagships of the Mediterranean operation safe.
During his deployment, ship Trieste also crossed the Strait of Messina, arousing curiosity and admiration among the citizens who were able to admire it in transit. The unit represents a strategic asset not only for amphibious projection skills, but also for supporting aeronaval operations in complex and multinational contexts.
The Italian presence at the Bright Star 2025 confirms the commitment of our country in strengthening international cooperation on safety and defense, in particular in the Mediterranean and Middle East area, strategic theaters for global stability.
According to reports from the Defense General Staff, the exercise has made it possible to refine interoperability between the allied marinas, consolidating collaboration relationships and ensuring a more effective response capacity common to potential crises.
With the conclusion of the Bright Star, ship Fasan will continue its activities in the field of Safe Mediterranean, while ship Trieste will continue its training program, confirming a symbol of the Italian maritime projection.
