“Tourism – says Falbo– It undoubtedly represents a strategic sector for the economic and social development of our region. The most recent data of the Observatory on the tourism economy of the Chambers of Commerce give us back an encouraging picture; Presents in Italy exceeded 880 million generating an economic impact of over 108 billion euros.
Calabria – continues Falbo – A destination of growing interest is confirmed. The investigation conducted on a sample of tourists in 2025 highlights a high level of satisfaction; 8.8/10 the average vote attributed to the overall tourist offer, with peaks of excellence in the quality of catering, in the reception of the structures and above all in courtesy and hospitality. The tourist who chooses Calabria has a good spending capacity; Foreigners come to spend over 100 euros per day with particular attention to typical products and the quality of our culinary offer. This means that each visit is not only vacation but becomes an economic value and promotion of our identity.
Alongside the seaside tourism, the role of cycle tourism is also strengthened which through the “parks cycle path” enhances the environmental and landscape heritage by intercepting a growing demand attentive to sustainability.
These results – concludes Falbo– They push us to continue with conviction in the path of enhancement of the territory, support for businesses and integrated promotion of the Calabrian tourist offer. Tourism is not only economy but it is also identity, culture and future for the new generations. ”
