On the night of September 14, a dispute between young people has degenerated into a violent brawl inside a room in the city center of Vibo. The immediate intervention of the men of the flying squad, the mobile team and the staff in public order service reported calm, preventing the situation from getting out of hand.
The investigations conducted by the mobile team made it possible to reconstruct the whole affair and to identify the managers. Six young people involved, coming from Sant’Onofrio, Cessaniti and Vibo Valentia, all referred in a state of freedom to the judicial authority on charges of brawl.
During the investigative activities, two other girls were reported for personal aiding and abetting: according to the investigators, with reticent attitudes they would have tried to hinder the identification of some participants, thus trying to facilitate their escape to the investigations.
The anti -crime division of the Police Headquarters, at the end of the investigation, has adopted further prevention measures: four oral notices, four mandatory routes – with a ban on return to the municipality of Vibo Valentia for three years – against the young people of Sant’Onofrio and Cessaniti, and a “Willy” Daspo against a boy from Vibo Valentia. The latter provision, designed to protect safety in public places and in the areas of nightlife, affects those who make themselves the protagonist of crimes against the person in contexts of youth aggregation.
A serious episode, which confirms the attention of the Police Headquarters in currently extraordinary services to control the territory to guarantee safety and legality.
