“Solidarity City Prize 2025”: in Catanzaro the XI edition dedicated to the future and the values ​​of the 2030 Agenda

It will be held on September 24 at 9.45 am in the Sancti Petri classroom, in via Archbishvado in Catanzaro, the eleventh edition of the Solidarity City Prize, pillar of the third sector (ETS) body led by Father Piero Puglisi and event that welcomes Catanzaro personalities of renowned and national commitment.
This year the prize has chosen the future, as a central theme, through 5 goals of the 2030 Agenda. The 5 goals chosen for this edition concern poverty, health and well -being, gender equality, dignified work and sustainable communities.

Themes that have committed solidarity cities for over thirty years and that allow to bring representatives of good practice and social commitment to the capital such as Khady Sene from 2024 Director of the Caritas of Foggia-Bovino, the first immigrant woman in Italy to hold this assignment; Good workshops that through music, quality cuisine, theater and the contribution of many volunteers under 35 realizes projects in which talent puts himself at the service of the social in many contexts; Giulia Blasi writer, trainer and public speaker has several awareness campaigns on issues relating to civil rights and self -determination, including #quella Voltache, Pretesignana of #Metoo in Italy; Marco Omizzolo Sociologist Eurispes, president of the Modern Times and Professor Association at the Sapienza of Rome and at the University of Foggia, an expert in work exploitation, international trafficking, corporal and contemporary slavery; GAYA – World of Ecovilleggio Union and cultural project that combines nature, community and innovation.

The protagonists of this eleventh edition will tell their experiences in a background in which solidarity city represents that fil rouge that combines their work with the founding values ​​of solidarity, equality, respect. Marco Omizzolo and Giulia Blasi will also present their publications and meet the readers, on September 23 at 17.30 at the Ubik of Catanzaro Lido.

All that remains is to put these appointments, open to everyone, on the agenda and participate to support solidarity cities in its awareness -raising work for a more just society, more equitable, more eco -sustainable!
