It is celebrated today with a long day of religious and civilian appointment. This morning at 10.00 am at the end of the Holy Mass from the parish church dedicated to him, the simulacrum of the saint will be brought to procession in the Cathedral of Maria Santissima Achiopita. Here, in the afternoon, at 18.00, the Eucharistic celebration chaired by Archbishop Maurizio Aloise joined the city area of the Urban Area of Rossano will be held. In conclusion there will be the procession that will also stop in the face of what is believed to be the birthplace of San Nilo in the San Nico district with a short stop and prayer and then resume the procession with arrival in Piazza Steri where the traditional ceremony of the delivery of the city’s keys to the patron saint will be held by the mayor Flavio Stasi. At the end of the procession, the statue of the saint will be reported in the parish church.
