A new stretch of the Via Don Blasco was opened this morning, precisely the portion of via Santa Cecilia closest to Maregrosso. The work represents one of the most complex lots of the entire track, since it requested the complete safety and reconstruction of the railway underpass.
With today’s opening, motorists will finally be able to use the new connection, which will replace another artery shortly destined to close.
From Monday, in fact, the bridge will be banned from the Cannizzaro ride to the Via Don Blasco: the structure will be demolished and rebuilt from scratch.
The new underpass in via Santa Cecilia will therefore become the alternative route for those who have to reach the area, thus lightening traffic and guaranteeing continuity to the roads during the work on the overpass.
