Agents of the Messina State Police arrested two subjects from Messina in execution of an order of application of precautionary measures issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Messina, on the compliant request of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The two subjects, a man and a woman, are seriously suspected of the crime of extortion against an elderly 85 year old. In particular, the two accomplices, after threatening the victim by asserting to spread news relating to an extramarital relationship existing between the latter and the woman, forced him to deliver sums of money on several occasions for a total amount of 800 euros.
The judicial police investigations, conducted by the anti -pine section of the mobile team, allowed investigators to reconstruct the criminal affair in the various phases in which it was consumed; The subsequent investigative insights – carried out with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Messina – led to identify the two alleged authors of the crime.
On the basis of the elements collected by the agents of the State Police, the Prosecutor’s Office requested a restrictive measure from the competent investigating judge, which shared the evidentiary framework proposed, adopting the measure of pre -trial detention with house arrest against both suspects.
