University, requests to create 2,135 beds in Calabria thanks to the PNRR call

Requests were submitted to create 2,135 beds at a calm price in Calabria thanks to the Housing call from the Ministry of the University and Research, financed by the national recovery and resilience plan with a total allocation of 1 billion and 200 million euros. The Ministry makes it known. “Specifically – explains a press release – 657 beds, in Cosenza for 1,015 beds, in Reggio Calabria for 463 beds in Cosenza, in Catanzaro.

«University housing investment represents a fundamental measure of social equity and a strategic lever to guarantee the right to study. Together with the Housing call for the national recovery and resilience plan, the Mur strategy on university residence – is noted – concretizes through law 338/2000 which provides for a co -financing by the Ministry, up to 75% of the total cost, for the realization of interventions such as new buildings, renovations, adjustments and purchase of properties for Studenti.

In Calabria, until now, 141 new beds have been co -financed with an allocation of 11,471,576 euros. From 2023 at national level, through the 5th call for law 338/2000, 10 thousand beds have been co -financed with over 800 million euros.
