It is the mayor Enzo Romeo who puts a firm point on the appointment of his special councilor, the criminologist Francesco Donato. It does so, opening the city council, evidently annoyed by recent criticisms. And to motivate a nomination poorly digested by the oppositions, he reiterates the concept of “competence”, already used in the election campaign. «We clarified even before being elected – he explains – that we would focus on the competence and that of Donato is an excellent competence, linked to its roots. It will also be able to support the administration in the acquisition of funds deriving from calls. Moreover, we are thinking of a local police school in synergy with that of the State Police, already present in the city ». It is clear: «This figure will have no security responsibility, entrusted to defined bodies. But it will help to promote the culture of legality in the area “. And it may not end here: “I – concludes Romeo – are for the special councilors and I could also appoint others”.
